A true beautiful hardwood, Sugar Maple isn’t as ubiquitous as the tall shady Silver Maples throughout Denver, but is denser. The surprise inside each tree we harvest is whether the Ambrosia Beetle leaves behind a touch of color as the tree dies.

Not only is there a dark rich variation of grain, but hints of red and green, and if the light hits it just right, you might find a hint of blue.

Harvested from the Mayfair neighborhood of Denver near 7th & Fairfax, it came from a beloved family tree.

The V shape of the bowl makes it large and deep to swallow up lots of fruit, popcorn, or your favorite salad—at least 6 servings but most likely 8.
