This simple and stunning platter was harvested across from the Odyssey School in Park Hill on east Montview Boulevard near Monaco Parkway. The tree was between 85 and 90 years old with about a four-foot diameter at the base.

Box Elder is a Maple sub-species and offers blond grains with rich darker contrast grains. It is a hardwood.
